A dedicated emerging journalist committed to delivering local news with precision and attention to detail. Driven by creativity and passion, my production work ensures each story resonates with and engages the audience.

Growing up, I have always wanted to pursue a career in broadcast journalism. This passion was solidified through the years as I have grown up and became more aware of the real world. I have realized the effect news has on people-I would like to be a part of that in the most positive transparent way.

In December 2024, I graduated from The University of South Florida. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree studying Mass Communications with a concentration in Broadcast News with a minor in International Relations. I have experience writing for a local newspaper, HCP Associates, USF Newsroom, and WFLA’s show Daytime.

My journey as a student studying journalism student taught me to prioritize truthfulness, accountability, and deadlines in each story I produce. My educational experience so far has taught me that my passion lies within world news, political stories, and giving a voice to the voiceless. I have worked as an intern for a local newspaper, an intern at HCP Associates, and performed many newsroom roles while taking the TV practicum course titled ‘Florida Focus.’ These roles established self-sufficiency in time management by prioritizing my tasks, establishing clear deadlines, and finding creative solutions to eliminate obstacles.

Aside from my experience, I also offer unique strengths, such as observation, attention to detail, communication skills, and constant motivation. As a member of the newsroom, my well-honed observation skills will serve me well in uncovering important elements that will be relevant when developing stories. I also possess excellent communication skills that have helped me build positive relationships in various aspects of my work. Finally, I am highly motivated to develop high-quality work and give my best effort in everything I do. I excel in a fast-paced, supportive, and collaborative environment where there is constant motivation, diligence, and feedback from my peers. I am always open to learning anything that will improve myself and my skills.

My career goals are to work for a local news station, then move into politics after completing my Master’s degree in Political Science, and end up in national news. This is just the beginning of my journalistic journey, so follow along to see what the new generation of journalists have to offer.
